Camping & mobile home holidays in Normandy, northern France
Normandy is a wonderful part of northern France for your camping holidays, and also for exploring this exciting part of France without having to travel too far from home.
Camping in Normandy has been popular for a great many years from when mobile homes were first introduced way back in the mists of time. These days you have a choice of sleeping under canvas in modern, pristine clean campsites near to equally clean toilet and shower blocks, or booking a modern and very comfortable mobile home for your holidays.
There are so many things to do and see in Normandy, so much history to explore including the Bayeaux Tapestry which is kept in the town of Bayeaux, the D-Day landing beaches, taking time out to go on the brandy route in Calvados, and many old and restored towns and villages.
Normandy has a very long coastline starting slightly to the northeast of Dieppe and sweeping down past le Havre, Caen and around the Cherbourg peninsular to join with Brittany near to le Mont St Michel, the most visited place in the whole of France.
Getting to your camping destination in Normandy is so easy even I could do it! For a start you are not far off Calais or the Eurotunnel, and you have 4 major ferry ports in this region as well in Dieppe, le Havre, Cherbourg and Caen. Transport for camping has never been so good!
